Perimeters and security zones

The Olympic Opening Ceremony takes place on July 26, 2024 on the Seine in Paris. From July 18 to 26, restrictions will be applied according to two 24-hour security perimeters. 

* Grey perimeter - access on presentation of ticket  

* Red perimeter - no motorized traffic.  

From July 27 to August 11, 4 different perimeters will apply:  

* Grey / black perimeter - controlled access, presentation of ticket / accreditation  

* Red / blue perimeter - pedestrian access authorized, motorized traffic prohibited (except Game Pass)

Do you need a Game Pass? 

If you're on foot, bike, cargo bike or scooter, you need a pass only : 

* to access the grey perimeter around the Opening Ceremony from July 18 to 26 until 1:00 pm. On July 26 from 1:00 p.m., access is reserved exclusively for spectators with a ticket or access card, and for people with an exemption and a Game Pass. 

If you have a motorized vehicle (2-wheeler, car, cab, VTC, commercial vehicle, HGV), you need a pass: 

* to access the grey perimeter around the Opening Ceremony from July 18 to 26 until 1 p.m., and only if you have an exemption.  

* to access the red perimeter around the Olympic and Paralympic venues and around the para-cycling event, and only if you have an exemption. 

Anyone in a motorized vehicle travelling within the grey perimeter of the opening ceremony must also have a Pedestrian Game Pass.

Other information

- Preparation for the Opening Ceremony from July 18 to 26  

- No cruises available during this period.  

- Maison Mère is not within a perimeter regulated by the game pass EXCEPT between 08/01 and 08/04.

- Children under 13 are not subject to the Game Pass. 

- No need for a Game Pass on public transport
